The Life of a Silicon Valley Rockstar

My varied life… in a nutshell

Triumph Daytona 675

Ever since my 4 day trip renewed my love of riding I’ve been looking at bikes. I love my Speed Four. There’s so few of them they’re practically collector’s items. But every once in awhile I stray. Doesn’t every man in one way or another? And most often my thoughts drift to the Daytona 675.

Sitting on one is a unique experience. The tank is so skinny it’s almost like getting on a bicycle! It’s got a HUGE powerband and the weight of most 600cc middleweights. If I were looking for a pure sportbike this is the one, bar none.

For better of worse I’m also drooling over the FJR1300. The Speed Four is venerable steed for 300 and 400 mile days, but there’s something to be said for a purpose built Sport Touring rig. Here it is:

They’re both beautiful bikes. Both ways of getting from point A to point B, but in ver different ways. Speaking of different, I came across this on the web earlier today. WTF??
